This page explains how users of the HPI Check Scotland app and website can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
You can also request deletion of certain personal data without deleting your full HPI Check Scotland account. To do this, email info@hpicheck.scot from the email address linked to your account and use the subject line: Data Deletion Request.
Please tell us what data you would like deleted. We will review the request and delete or anonymise eligible personal data where reasonably possible. Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, payment dispute, customer support or business record purposes.
When an account deletion request is verified, we will delete or anonymise the user account where reasonably possible. This may include account profile information, app account access details, saved app account records and associated personal account data.
Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, payment dispute, customer support or business record purposes. This may include payment records, order records, invoice/transaction references and limited report purchase history.
We aim to process verified account deletion requests within 30 days. Where certain records must be retained for legal or business record reasons, they will be kept only for as long as necessary.
